As the nerd that I am, I researched the insurance industry quite thoroughly back in 2019–2020; I was then active as the CEO of a start-up insurance brokerage and quite interested in the topic. The hours I spent on reading articles, talking to colleagues in the industry and interviewing active insurance and InsurTech professionals led to the first edition of my book “InsurTech: Digitalizing the Insurance Industry”.
5 years later, I decided to update it; post Covid-19, Generative AI, new business models and a very changed insurance industry warranted a sequel. When doing the research for the second edition I realized that the term InsurTech itself has changed, some of the big InsurTech stars of back then were no more (or are struggling), the industry is transforming (at different speeds) and regulation globally is working on trying to catch-up. I included an academic chapter on the Generative AI side of things, as that is what has had the biggest effect on the industry by far.
As with the first edition, my company Hvitravnur AB is the main publisher and I created the cover myself – or correction, I created it myself using LLM-tools. Last time, the publication process took 2 weeks. This time? One hour.
You will find the 2nd edition of “InsurTech: Digitalizing the Insurance Industry” on Amazon. Let me know what you think!
